PST 639, Project Management for Beginners, 3 credits

Roger Kraft of Sioux Fall, SD will be teaching a new course for people who are responsible for managing projects.  In today’s corporate and non-profit world, while many traditional businesses are organized by function, there is a critical need for people to manage multiple projects across units to ensure these projects are successfully completed in terms of time, quality and cost.

Principles of project management will be covered in this intensive course taught on Gallaudet’s campus over two long weekends.  The nine project management bodies of knowledge (communication, human resources, risk, integration, scope, time, procurement, cost and quality) will be covered as well as the five stages of a project:  initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.

Equipped with a working knowledge of PM principles, course attendees will be able to successful manage projects either individually or organization or institution-wide.  The 3-course is offered 3/27-29/09 and 4/24-26/09.  Tuition is $555.00.

If you’d like to be notified when you can register for this course, please go to our Spring 2009 Inquiry page here.
